Privilege Race ExerciseThis is an activity to illustrate how some groups in our society are at a disadvantage while others are more privileged. This activity challenges the belief that not everyone starts out life on an equal playing field.
Space Requirements: A room or space large enough for participants to be able to stand in a straight row. Participant Expectations: This exercise works best with 20-40 participants. Participants should try to remember how they felt during the exercise, and allow time for discussion afterward. How did you feel when you moved forward or backward? How do you feel at the end of the activity based on where you ended up?
